The spokesman for the lower house spent almost £ 5,500 for private aircraft during a tour through the Caribbean.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle used tax money to charter three planes to travel between the islands of St. Maarten, Montserrat, Anguilla and Antigua, according to the Daily Mail.

The expenditure included over £ 22,000 for a five -day trip to meet his counterpart to the Cayman Islands last year.

He lived in the luxury Westin Grand on the famous Seven Mile Beach, where his room was charged for 679 pounds per night.

During a visit to Ottawa in 2023 to meet his Canadian equivalent, he spent more than £ 8,500 for accommodations together with £ 15,000 for company flights for himself and two employees. His stay in the 4-star Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel cost almost 900 pounds per night.

The MP for Chorley also shot for stays in the luxurious St. Regis in Doha and Ritz-Carlton in Los Angeles.

According to The Daily Mail, Sir Lindsay is the most common Commons spokesman in history.
